Gabriel Toys introduced the Lone Ranger toyline in 1973, creating a vast array of action figures, horses, playsets and accessories.

Gabriel released a series of six 9″ action figures, each with a fully articulated plastic body. There was the Lone Ranger and Tonto. Dan Reid the Lone Ranger’s long-lost nephew, Little Bear, Dan’s Indian blood brother, who had a hawk called Nama. Then we had the two bad guys: Butch Cavendish and Red Sleeves, an Apache Indian.

There was also four horses. Silver was the Lone Ranger’s horse, Scout belonged to Tonto, Smoke was the “wild black stallion” ridden by Butch Cavendish, and Banjo was Dan Reid’s Palomino pony. Each horse was articulated and came with a stand.

Gabriel also released eleven different playsets including; the Landslide Adventure, Carson City Bank Robbery, Hidden Silver Mine and Tribal Powwow.
