To assist you in your collecting efforts we have put together a page featuring some common abbreviations and terminology used frequently by collectors

Antique = Something that has been in existence for 100 years or more

BNIB = Brand New in Original Box

COA = Certificate of Authenticity

Commemorative = Something created specifically to celebrate an event or anniversary

COO = Country of Origin – A marking to say where the item was made.
No COO = Indicates that there is no visible marking to say where the item was made.

KAM = A term used by Action Man Collectors to denote the 2018 Art & Science International Made for Kids range.

Limited Edition = An item of which only a certain mount were made

MAM = A term used by Action Man Collectors to denote the modern 1993 to 2006 range

Mint Condition = Never been used, in perfect condition and in the original packaging.

MOC = Mint on Original Card

NMC = Near Mint Condition. Looks like new and shows minimal or no wear

REPRO = Reproduction or copy. Not Original.

VAM = A term used by Action Man Collectors to denote items from 1964 to 1984

VGC = Very Good Condition

Vintage = Something that has been in existence for a minimum of 20 and a maximum of 99 years
