“The Lord of the Rings” is an epic high-fantasy novel written by J.R.R. Tolkien. It consists of three parts: “The Fellowship of the Ring,” “The Two Towers,” and “The Return of the King.” The story follows the journey of Frodo Baggins, a hobbit, who is tasked with destroying the One Ring, an artifact of immense power created by the Dark Lord Sauron. The Ring corrupts those who possess it, and its destruction is crucial to defeating Sauron. Frodo is accompanied by a diverse group of characters including other hobbits (Samwise Gamgee, Meriadoc Brandybuck, and Peregrin Took), a wizard (Gandalf), a ranger (Aragorn), an elf (Legolas), a dwarf (Gimli), and a human warrior (Boromir). Together, they form the Fellowship of the Ring.
